Bits of August

We finally got the internet here- though it's amazingly slow sometimes.  I am catching up on not writing all month:

Two people had appointments to see Twink our last week in St. George, and they both bought horses before they saw her and ended up not coming. McKay took some video of us though so we can post it on youtube for potential buyers.

We live in Logan!  The drive was about 8 hours.  A neighbor helped us unpack the moving truck and we’ve been trying to transition from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom.  Our apartment is about half the size of our old one, which is fine, we’ve just been trying to figure out what to do with our stuff.  I am surprised at how many of my friends I already know up here and how many are moving up soon.

McKay’s parents and a few siblings came up here and we went to Harry Potter, Willow Park Zoo, a picnic, the DI, and had a barbeque.  Good day.

I went to my first day of work at the farm, and I started to get sick toward the end. I dug potatoes, picked vegetables, and got sore from other shoveling but not quite any blisters.

McKay refinished a wood piece of furniture we have, and is repainting a set of drawers and a dresser.  Things are starting to look much nicer!

We both have been sick and have only left the apartment for fresh air and to get medicine, but we aren’t sick of each otherJ

Yesterday McKay and I did some organizing- we have gotten rid of some stuff, motivated by limited space.

Last night I made bread and McKay and I walked around the cemetery here, it’s cool.  We also played Mancala.

Tonight we’re going to McKay’s sister’s family’s house for dinner.

At work I've been moving sprinklers, working with horses, using a riding mower and a string trimmer on like 3.5 foot tall weeds, and cleaning a barn.

McKay is still looking for a job.  He's applied for a lot.

I can't believe how cool August can sometimes be here.
