I made yogurt! I was nervous it wasn’t going to work. Hopefully I can improve it, but at least I didn’t waste a quart of milk. It reminds me a little of Elmer's glue..
This week McKay went fishing a few times while I went trail running. He caught one and I managed to cook it to taste pretty good, thankfullly.
We watched Hotel Rawanda. It was the first time for both of us, and it got me thinking about making sure our 72 hour kits and food storage is always up to par, and it made me consider returning the cardigan I bought at Walmart for $5. Anyway, it was a graphic, intense movie and I recommend watching it with a program that filters swearing, but I think it’s a good one to bring people to think about a lot of things including helping other people. I like movies about true events- I know they never really follow the true story, but a basic idea of historical events is valuable to me. Might as well feel like I am accomplishing something worthwhile watching movies.
I have a feeling I will nearly always crack pecans while I watch movies at home.
I have been browsing through reviewed recipes online a lot lately. I like to try typing “healthy” in front of every recipe search. I mainly use recipezaar.com and allrecipes.com. They help me so much I got rid of a few cookbooks.
McKay starts his research program on Monday! He is excited. He doesn’t like long breaks- he likes to be working or in school so he feels useful. I like him:)

I will try harder to comment! Keep blogging. It makes a nice looking journal and you can print it in book form at blurb.com, I think!
ReplyDeleteDad and I are back at Jared's and he isn't even taking pain meds.
Love you, MOM
